About the organisation<\/b>
\nMercatura School of Technology online campus (MST) is an online tech school that has been providing quality tech training for over 5years using the selfpaced learning method to train thousands of people across Nigeria, Africa, Europe and the world.
\nMST aims and objectives are in making tech courses and training affordable for anyone using various programs such as Tech Sisters free tech training for African women, Tech Savvy, Tech City, scholarships, and discounts.<\/p>\n

Full job description<\/b>
\nSUMMARY<\/b>
\nThe volunteer role is to support Mercatura School of Technology to bring tech course training remotely to Nigerians by reducing tech Illiteracy in the country as only 7% of Nigerian youths have ICT skills needed for working and living in a digital economy according to UNICEF.
\nThis role will include campaigning for the Tech City and Tech Sisters free tech training by registering students in various tech courses for Mercatura School of Technology and much more.<\/p>\n

The Role & Key Responsibilities
\nYou would be responsible for the practical tech campaign to Nigerian youths, preaching about the importance of learning tech, explaining the opportunities in tech industry, registering students in Tech City and Tech Sisters free tech training courses, participating in training remotely using the available training platforms.<\/p>\n

Key responsibilities include:<\/b><\/p>\n

    \n
  • \u200cTo ensure the participation of tech education in Nigeria using online selfpaced learning method.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • \u200c To ensure that all interested students are registered into either Tech Sisters or Tech City free tech training which comes without tuition fee payment but only for students who are admitted into MST or those who purchased a course study voucher.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • \u200cTo act as a point of contact between students and MST and meet students needs in making the right tech journey.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          \n
        • \u200cTo hold virtual live session training orientation for interested Nigerian youths explaining MST tech campaigns and the benefits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Skills & Experience<\/b><\/p>\n

            \n
          • \u200cGraduate with IT Skills including familiarity with online training.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
              \n
            • \u200cExperience with dealing directly with clients or customers and closing business deals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                \n
              • \u200cAble to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                  \n
                • \u200cAble to work without direct supervision and demonstrate a high level of self-management, motivation, drive and determination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                    \n
                  • \u200cAble to demonstrate a respect for the opinions, circumstances and feelings of others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    • \u200cPossess a high level of integrity and resilience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                      • \u200cAbility to work remotely within agreed professional boundaries with colleagues within Mercatura School of Technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
