Nigerians in the Region of Waterloo Hold Solidarity Walk and Launch Petition Calling for Action on Child Kidnappings and Insecurity in Nigeria.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Members of the Nigerians in the Region of Waterloo (NIROW), alongside community partners and<\/span>
\nresidents from across Waterloo Region, gathered at Carl Zehr Square in downtown Kitchener on the<\/span>
\nevening of Sunday, June 14, for a peaceful Solidarity Walk and Candlelight Vigil.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The event was organized to raise awareness about the ongoing kidnapping of children, teachers,<\/span>
\nand innocent civilians in Nigeria, and to stand in solidarity with affected families.<\/span><\/p>\n

The gathering brought together community members, elected officials, and advocates to honour<\/span>
\nvictims, support impacted families, and call for urgent action to address the worsening insecurity in<\/span>
\nNigeria. Participants carried candles, observed moments of reflection, and listened to powerful<\/span>
\ntestimonies highlighting the devastating effects of these tragedies.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event also marked the launch of a community petition titled \u201cBring Back Our Children.\u201d The<\/span>
\npetition calls for:<\/span>

\n\uf0b7 Immediate action to secure the release of abducted victims<\/span>
\n\uf0b7 Improved security in schools and vulnerable communities<\/span>
